My Go-To Dressing

Have you found yourself staring blankly at the dressing section at your local grocery store? We've all been there. So many different kinds - low-fat this, low-sodium that, sugar free this, & not to mention the abundance of flavours - AHHHH! My next step for making a decision usually consists of reading the label to check out the ingredients & "nutrition facts". As for someone, such as myself who struggles with food allergies it can be quite frustrating to find a dressing that is suitable. So many additives, preservatives, and garbage ingredients are found in these dressings. We gravitate towards pre-made dressings for convenience right? Out of necessity I began making my own from scratch. My first thought was "Ugh this is such a pain.". But turns out it's been a major game changer. I make a big batch and it keeps well when stored in the fridge. It's simple and super versatile. I have my Go-To base then change it up by adding different ingredients like fresh herbs. So yum!

My Go-To Dressing

  • 3 Tbsp Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Organic Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tbsp Organic Udo's Oil 3-6-9 (can substitute Avocado Oil & Extra Virgin Avocado Oil or oil of Choice)
  • 1-2 Tsp Organic Coconut Aminos (@nakedcoconuts / @coconutsecret - fav brands)
  • 1 Tsp Organic Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tsp Fresh Grated Garlic ( I'm kind of obsessed.)
  • 1 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast *optional - (adds a real nutty/cheesy flavour)
  • Pink Himalayan Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper to taste

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a mason jar & shake - pour & enjoy! It's that simple!

*Tip: Use a shaker cup ball in your dressing jar for easing mixing.

One of my favourite variations is adding Organic Fresh Basil leaves & blending in a blender. It becomes a beautiful vibrant green with punch of fresh flavour.
